Endless crash.

on

Rub the stones or strike a match

Burn down this roof or light the floor

But put some light right in here

And show me the way straight to the door.

Forever I’ve been stuck in this abysmal darkness

Running around in search of that elusive light

Frantically breaking all that comes in front

Scampering to find the darkness of the night.

Dead as ever in this bottomless pit

I raise my hands to cling to some creeper

Gasping I grasp the cold thin air

Cutting through my body as I fall deeper.

Aghast I stiffen with the absence of love

The heart just beats while lungs just breathe

Without a meaning this machine runs along

Lies my soul in this loveless sheathe.

Someday, I’d like to write poems this well.

If you’re in the mood, I’ve written a little about how letting go is such an important thing in life.
