A tiny flower I am
In land of the lost,
None in sight
Understood my plight
Rooted to the ground
Drenched by the rain
Bent by the wind
Enveloped by dust
For help I cried
My voice nearly died
But for hope
I would have been gone
Steadily she rose
Sending her warmth
Erect I stood
Mesmerized by her charm
A blessing she was
Wind became breeze
Downpour became drizzle
Dust became dew
I smiled and swayed
She laughed and stared
Deeply in love
Until she set
The moon set in
Darkness as its twin
And the wait began
To reel in her love
Me as the flower
She as the Sun
Sunflower
Is what we are
Me as the flower
You as the Sun
Oh! my lover
Come bask in me
Me in you
You in me
Is all that we need
To be freed
Beautiful!
